As the founder and visionary of Extrinsic Aviation, I am dedicated to problem-solving in all aspects of life.
My relentless pursuit of solutions drives me to constantly seek new growth and innovation opportunities.
In addition to my professional endeavors, I am fortunate to found my soulmate 27 years ago. My husband, David, is a superintendent for JE Dunn on iconic projects in Kansas City. We have two incredible children who bring so much compassion and love into our home. Brody studies photography at the Rochester Institute of Technology, while Ella is a talented soccer player who keeps us busy with her involvement in her education and a lot of soccer.
As I navigate the challenges of running a startup, I look forward to sharing my experiences and insights through my blog. I believe the lessons I learn in my personal and professional life can be applied to the larger context of adulthood and business. With a supportive family by my side and a passion for problem-solving, I am eager to see where this journey will take me.
In 2009, I began to develop a passion for the aviation industry. As many aviation professionals can attest, this industry becomes a part of who you are, and I am no exception. My curiosity and thirst for knowledge have made me proficient in asking the right questions and curious enough to challenge answers.
Resilience is a valuable trait that can greatly contribute to personal growth and success. I have learned that being resilient means being able to adapt to challenges and setbacks and persevere or pivot in the face of adversity. It has also taught me the importance of knowing when to ask questions. Working with other aviation experts, I have had the opportunity to do just that. For our customers, it is a win!
Collaboration is at the core of our approach. We believe that by actively listening and working with our clients and other aviation professionals, we can find the missing puzzle piece leading to effective solutions. We are determined to go above and beyond to meet our customer's needs and ensure their success.
Resiliently,
Hi! I'm Amber, your dedicated VP of all the things and the angel on your shoulder keeping everything on track.
My journey to becoming Extrinsic Aviation's go-to organizer and support system has been anything but ordinary.
I've successfully run a boutique, which honed my business acumen and customer service skills. I also currently lead the administration team for a 500-member church, it's in this role, that I mastered organizational and leadership abilities.
And here's a fun fact: I have a Musical Theatre degree! It might seem unrelated, but it taught me how to think on my feet and, as they say, "fake it till you make it" – skills that come in handy more often than you'd think in the business world.
What really drives me is my firm belief that people are the most important asset in any organization. I'm committed to kindness and empathy, which helps me create a positive work environment and foster strong professional relationships. I'm all about making connections and ensuring everyone feels valued and heard.
I've been happily married for almost 12 years and am a proud mother of four amazing children. This experience has given me a deep understanding of the importance of balance. Trust me, if I can manage a household of six, I can handle just about any organizational challenge!
My latest adventure has been transitioning into the aviation industry, and I can't thank Kelly and Extrinsic Aviation enough for making this journey so rewarding. Being part of a team changing the world through innovation and collaboration is truly exciting.
You might be wondering how I ended up here. Well, it all started in an unexpected place - a mom group! Kelly, my now-employer, posted looking for an "angel who could sit on her shoulder to keep her on task." It was a perfect match for my skills and aspirations, leading to this fantastic professional partnership.
I'm thrilled to bring my diverse experience, enthusiasm, and organizational skills to help drive success in everything we do. Whether it's managing complex schedules, coordinating projects, or simply being that reassuring presence that keeps everything running smoothly, I'm here! Bringing positivity, fun, and prompts to make things productive.
Joyfully,
